Kathmandu to Pokhara is one of the prettiest road trips in Nepal. It’s about 6-8 hours by road, 25 min by flight, but the road trip views are worth it.

Annapurna · 28.21° N · 83.99° E
Annapurna’s quiet, community ridge with 360° Himalayan views. Think of it as *Poon Hill + Annapurna Base Camp vibes* but without the crowds. It’s a community-run trek that opened to protect local villages and culture.

Day 02 · Trek · 2,870 m
Drive till ulleri and then trek towards ghorepani village through the lush green rhododendron forest and local tea houses.

Day 03 · Trek · 2,200 m
Watching one of the most beautiful sunrise view point of Nepal and then trek towards swanta village.

Day 04 · Trek · 3,000 m
This is where the trek feels "remote". No roads,no vehicles. Just you, guides, porters and locals. Night is cold but the teahouses are cozy. It’s a perfect acclimatization stop before khopra + Khayer lake.

Day 05 · Trek · 3,660 m
You sleep right on the ridge with panoramic views. From here you can see Dhaulagiri 8,167m, Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Machhapuchhre, and the whole Kali Gandaki Valley. Sunrise and sunset here hit different because there are no other lodges blocking.

Day 06 · Trek · 4,660 m
A 2-3 hour hike above Khopra. This turquoise holy lake sits at the base of Annapurna South. Pilgrims come here to pray. It feels like a mini Annapurna Base Camp. Very peaceful, prayer flags, and snow peaks all around.

Day 07 · Trek · 3,420 m
Super peaceful. No road, no noise. Just 4-5 community lodges, prayer flags, and mountain silence. Because it’s a bit lower than Khopra, the nights are warmer but you still get mountain air.

Day 08 · Trek · 2,630 m
A Green and peaceful trail with 10 to 12 tea houses in between. From tadapani you will get to see the close up view of Mt. Annapurna south, himchuli and machapuchre.

Day 09 · Trek · 860 m
This one of the prettiest and easiest day of this whole trek. Your legs get a break, eyes get a treat. Once we reach ghandurk village we'll drive back to pokhara.
